How will we prepare SSC CGLE?
First of all we will know about SSC ,The SSC is an important constitutional body, which is empowered with the responsibility of recruiting staff for different ministries and departments of the government. SSC is considered as an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which comprises Chairman, two Members along with a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations.
The main function of SSC is to conduct examinations and/or interviews for recruiting staff in Group B, C, and D posts for various ministries and departments of the government and their subordinate offices. In case you don’t know, SSC doesn’t make any recruitment for states. It is only focused on serving central governmen
Now come to point of Exam pattern , They takes 3 tier based exam , tier 1 is called prelims ,
in which there are four section of question and total time is allocated 1hour that is 60 minutes.
Detail of tier 1 exam

Reasoning 25 50

It gives 15 times results of actual vacancy in tier 1 , this means 15 times candidate is qualified in tier 1 and is eligible for tier 2.
now in tier 2 examination pattern is different little bit from tier 1
in tier 2 only two subjects exam helds

and total time is allocated 4 hours in two different seating ,
it means math exam will held in first seating after that 1 hour is gap for tiffin etc. and second
seating will be for English . and total time will be 4 hour . 2 hour for each section .
Almost three times of actual vacancy qualified in tier 2 and they are eligible for tier 3.

Essay/ Letter 2 100 60 minute
Tier 3 exam is basically held on pen and paper mode . Tier 3 is replace version of interview
which is earlier taken by ssc . This is mainly for the Judgmental skill and perception skill.
After qualifying this exam they will be called for DEST or Typing Test . After qualifying this exam
They will be shortlisted in different posts according to their marks in Tier 1 , Tier 2 , Tier3.
DEST and Typing Test is basically qualifying nature . which means each candidate need to pass a minimum cuttoff which will be decided by commission , and this marks will not include in merit , but need to qualify .The above details is about examination , in next blog we will discuss how to prepare for each subjects.
